I watch the BBC. RT, CNN, Euronews (amongst others) and all would have you believe that their country is the best - the most shocking thing is how they ALL spin news items to suit themselves...
Would you be happy to indicate whether you have travelled or otherwise live overseas?
I am from the UK and from birth, the concept of "Great" Britain is drilled into us, yet having travelled to many countries (including most of the States) I struggle to see what is supposed to make us so much better than anywhere else. Especially when there are many countries that enjoy a better standard of living and do not have the same depth of recession that we do.
It is my belief that UK schools and media reinforce this message simply so we don't ask awkward questions.
