1. You can't understand the words.
2. The "rap industry", if there even is one, doesn't exactly have high standards. If you can talk and rhyme, you can rap.
3. Every one is about the artists' ghetto life in "the hood" and one point or another talks about their jail time and/or how they shot/stabbed/beat up someone and/or how HARD their life was overall, in a slur of words that can only be understood if there's subtitles.
4. If not about #3, it's about some "shawty" with a nice body who they saw at the club and how they/how they wished they could have gotten into bed with said girl. Again, usually need subtitles to understand what is being said.
5. As said in number 2, I reiterate: Talent is not necessary, nor is it ever present. Want to become a performing artist? Can't sing? Struggled with anything in life? Be a rapper!!
Rock and roll is FAR better; I'm not a fan of black metal/screamer rock, but I'll GLADLY take it over CRap Music. VERY few rock songs are annoying. At least rock has got standards, and REAL HISTORY behind it at that!
