The weight is the same but the mass would be different because it would take more feathers to weigh the same as the gold.

A pound of feathers is heavier because it is weighed in Imperial measurements,

Gold is a precious metal which is weighed in Troy, which is lighter.

A pound of lead is equal to a pound of feathers as it is a base metal and so is weighed in Imperial.

It's a trick question. Precious metals like gold are weighed in the Troy system, where a pound is less than an Imperial pound.
A pound of anything else is still a pound.

No, precious metals like gold are weighed in Troy ounces, which means a pound of gold is lighter, but not a pound of base metal like lead or iron.
