The security checks at the airport, increased terrorism, and I can't go running off like I used to. I traveled extensively throughout the 80s up until early 90s.

A lot of neat architecture here, but I'm still a fan of the Pyramids solely for their ability to stand for as long as they have and the technology available to build them at the time. I don't think many modern buildings would survive half as long in half as good a condition.

A Quansent Hut that was large enough to sleep 24-individual-bunk-beds; could ski across the top of it and never touch the roof, and yet, had to turn off the heat inside during the day, all because it was so hot that you couldn't stand it inside. All covered in snow . .. Very impressive . . . Indeed . . . The Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, in Bridegeport, California . . . Extremely impressive.
