A cousin had the original looking 1968 Camaro and I was just 7. and by the time I could drive, the old Challengers were worn out junk. I am planning on buying a used Challenger in 2013 or 14 after school

Because of my love for the Transformers and Bumblebee I would take the Camaro and have it in bright yellow. I would go some where that does EXCELLENT air brushing and painting and have Bumblebee painted full size on the hood and rear fenders. I would then go and have duel turbochargers installed and special exhaust.

I think the classics are much easier to maintain than the new ones. You got to take it to the dealer Mechanic.....

I was working at a Dodge dealer when they first came out. It was a hot little package. the only thing was Chrysler didn't have the aftermarket parts availability to make them competitive with the Mustangs or Camaros on the track. The were fine in a straight line but high speed handling on road courses suffered. They were too heave, even with the fiberglass hod and deck lids.
The one unique thing was the reverse flow mufflers which exited right in front of the rear wheel. That really wasn't "legal" in many states since the exhaust was supposed to go all the way back "behind" the passenger compartment.

i would defainlly have loved to seen that one , my oldest brother got me int muscle and everyone was jumping on the mustang wagon , so i pulled what lil money we had and started saving up and finally got it , though my bro got it right now omg its like baby clean still, i dont even think its seen any speeds higher than 65 in the last few years cause we wanted to keep it in mint condition , but yea , the parts was our issue too , and on the drag we got it but road courses we were hurting alot specailly we were not a really big income famly so what lil we had ot work with is all we had to work with , but soon as he gets finished ima get some good picutres and ill upload them soon they done so you can see em , im not sure about the flow on ours, id have to talk to him , i just help work on it more than anything lol , growing up with three brothers i was always the giney pig with stuff like that XD

You know I really hate to rub this in, but in 1970, when I was working at the Dodge dealership, I was a service writer, and it was my job to test drive the cars that came in for service, and, the new cars that were sold.
I got to drive a "few" T/As, quite a few Hemi Chargers and Coronets, and even some of the used cars that were traded in. One of these cars was a 351 Mustang that was traded in on a T/A because the insurance on a T/A was lower.
Later, I became a Mechanic and we lived in Atlanta where I had the opportunity to drive a Lamborghini Miura, A Rolls Silver Cloud (rt hand steering) a 74 Ford 427 fastback Galaxy, and just a few more. A Porsche 911 twin turbo is a lot more fun than a Corvette 427. I'm just sayin'.
