Evolution…what ever laid the 1st egg (in this instance) was almost 100% chicken…so it doesn’t count as a chicken…thus the egg was 1st…

its a question asked to confuse people. peopel get asked that and they sit and think about it for days and don't realize its biologically impossible for the egg to have came first. cause if it was the egg first it would have had to appear outta no where which can definately not happen. the chicken was first cause evolution first had chickens having live birth and over time they evolved into the chickens of today laying eggs.

Eggs have been around since the dinosaurs and didn't come from no where, they came from other animals. But chickens weren't around yet.

chickens evolved into laying eggs, i learned it in my biology class back in high school . that is almost exactly what my teacher said. if the egg came first it would have had to appear outta no where. the chicken came first obviously

I think you're teacher is mistaken and incorrect but since they're teaching it hopefully they know more about it than I (since I'm not teaching it).

I believe the egg came before the chicken even evolved into a chicken and there for there were not chicken yet.... but another bird egg laying creature that evolved into a chicken over time.

Unless you're super religious, you know the egg came first.
The chicken is just the retarded baby of some other creature, who was the retarded baby of some other creature, so on and so forth. Evidently the chicken wasn't so retarded as it continued to survive unlike it's predecessor.

So yes, the egg came first.

Look at every bird there is...for the egg to produce, bird, penguin, chicken, the mother or father has to be on the egg..If you take a bird's egg...nothing will happens..but if you take a chicken, that chicken will produce eggs..which could produce more chickens..

You can take a bird's egg and hatch the little baby. People do it every year. Just certain things have to happen to the egg. And one chicken can't make babies by them selves.

Well, I'm a Christian and I stick to the Bible...God create all the animal is the field and the birds of the sky..and I figured there was a rooster and a hen.. and that formed the egg..which came after the chicken. :-)
