I would think men would prefer medium, but I'm not a man. I think skinny women look malnourished and, well, just bad. Some do like the larger women.
I guess it depends on the individual. Personally, I think I've been in all 3 categories during my life. I always wanted to be thin, growing up "the chunky kid". Boy, I was wrong. After several surgeries I dropped down to 104 pounds and looked horrible. I have struggled for years to gain weight (never thought it would as hard as losing weight) and finally got to 124 and I look much healthier. My usual adult weight is 132-134, which I carried well, I'm 5'5 1/2". My entire family thinks I still look too thin and want me to get back to where I was. Considering how miserable I still feel, I think I need to get there, too.
Wait, when you say miserable, how so ? Physically? Mentally? Physiologically? And your family, while well meaning, need to let you make your own decisions. Review your diet. How old are you? How active are you? Pick up a book by a man named D'Adamo (can't remember his first name) Eat Right For Your Blood Type.I think you'll be very surprised to learn that there is a direct correlation between blood type and diet. 5'5-1/2 at 124 seems about right. I could see 130lbs but not more than that. I have a female friend who is 5'7 137lbs. But she is pretty hard. I'm 6' 200 in good shape but trying to pick her up is not easy. Bear in mind muscle is weight.
Physically miserable. I was always athletic, but now I have to limit it to walking (I do a lot) and upper body exercises. I do get an occasional whiffle ball game, shooting some hoops, throw the football, that kind of thing. Being a girl who grew up with 2 older brothers and played baseball, football, hockey, among other things, it's difficult not being able to do those things anymore. Far, far too painful.
Gaylehelen, I hear you, I know it's hard to get active again but for your sake, if you're saying you're physically miserable it's your body telling you you need to make a move.Start slow. walking and bicycling are a couple of easy ways to start. Swimming, especially now that summer is here. It's not a race, it's not a chore. But gaylehelen, please start. now. You'd be surprised how good you'll feel in a short period of time. Mentally AND physically.
Trust me, I have been since day one! As previously stated on another question, I walk a lot, do upper body exercises, among many, many other things. I know the importance of being active. I was even willing to get up and try to walk when I woke up in Intensive Care. They were shocked, but I told them I knew how important it is and it speeds recovery. I had 5 major surgeries in less than 1 year, so I had the method down pat. Off for a walk to the pond now.
I know skinny girls that are healthy and heavier gals that are. I am in the middle and I feel sexier ...more comfortable in my own skin at 35 (5kids 2 healthy and 3 andel babies)then I ever have in my entire life.
So what works for the woman...whatever makes her feel sexy:) It shows.
Normally I would say medium, but all the representative pictures of medium girls look borderline skinny ('cept maybe fergie and the black girls a few pics down), I can't agree with chunky though as is evidenced by the more than chunky girls a few pics lower.
I'll say, just like Jessica Biel before her diet.
im thick and im proud to be thick my boyfriend loves me the way i am. It seems that most guys want abony girl!!! To me someone like fergie is sexy she aint fat but she aint bony!!
I consider this most attractive in general, but the girl who I love more than anything in the world (who dosent love me the same way) is kinda on the chunky side.
Medium body is always more attractive in clothing, style, health and sexual...... or thats what most MEN will tell you.. LOL Neither thin nor fat....
aka the perfect woman...
Same with a man... Not thin not fat.. justttttt right.... hmmmmmmm
A single man or woman with a good steady and secure job, healthcare and their own place to live looks very attractive right now................Regardless of all the above choices. Or that's what I was told some months back when the discussion wasn't even talking bout thin fat or just right.....
