Which 'Beautiful Place' Is Your Favorite?

Thanks so much for including the Tetons on your "10 Most Beautiful Places in the US" but I was very disappointed to the amount of time you gave to the Grand Tetons. It was the least amount of time of the 10 places but yet the most spectacular! You didn't even mention the miles of hiking trails, the climbing, the biking, the fly fishing, etc. nor touched on the incredible diversity of wildlife! It was made to look like people only went there to canoe or kayak! And you can't show the Tetons without some downhill skiing - the most extreme skiing in the lower 48! Plus you can't talk about the Tetons without mentioning best town in the West - Jackson Hole! Without a doubt, Grand Teton National Park is the most beautiful place in America.

And the Okaloosa County commissioners plan to cover up Okaloosa Island’s / Destin naturally beautiful sugar white sand beach and dunes with shell-shard laden inferior fill

Hands down, the most beautiful beaches in the U.S.

Traveled to Sedona last summer, it is breathtaking. The red rocks are beautiful. Even though I'm from Michigan, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes is another beautiful location, I still had to pick the red rocks of Sedona.

Destin for sure, especially about 30 years ago before the all the congestion and b4 it became a concrete jungle.

Yes, you could actually see the water without going to a balcony of a motel. Also like Mexico beach.

Nothing like the red rocks of Sedona to put you at peace.

Looking out on the Destin Harbor makes you feel great to be alive.

What a top 10! This list could easily grow to top 100+ given all the beautiful places we have in this country. I've been to a few on the list and would have to pick Asheville above all others IF we're taking several factors into consideration (i.e. beauty, outdoor activities, climate, and a city that offers amazing cuisine, entertainment, arts and an eclectic culture). Many of the others have some combination of the aforementioned but Asheville has it all. It seems everywhere you turn, Asheville is being recognized as a #1 destination. That said, all the others mentioned and not (i.e. Yosemite) are amazing. How fortunate are we to have all this in our back yards?!?!

I grew up in Asheville Nc..of course its the most wonderful place in the USA.

How can Yosemite not be on the list????? When you drive through the tunnel and its grandure hits you in the face of multiple waterfalls, sheer 4000' Granite cliffs, wildlife, the diversity of cultures from around the world that come to visit, the history , John Muirs influence, hiking trails, architecture. This comes down to weather you find the Mountains, deserts or beaches to be beautiful !

There is no place like Lanikai Beach in Hawaii.... the romance, the ocean, the white sandy beaches... and the culture! Come join us and listen to the waves and soak in the rays of the sun! Aloha to all!

I have been to a lot of beautiful areas of our country But I have to say Sedona Arizona, is the most gorgeous place I have ever seen!

We lived on Oahu when I was a child. I have such fond memories of the beaches there. Although I love sleeping bear dunes now that I live in Michigan, there is no comparison! The people and spirit of the Islands make it Heaven on Earth!

(I've been to Cape Cod, Florida and North Carolina as well)

Sedona is gorgeous...i really love the southwest. something about the bright red/orange rocks against a brilliant blue sky- truly breathtaking

The most beautiful, peaceful site that truly took my breath away the first time I visited there.

I think Point Reyes, California is the most beautiful place. you got so many different things to do. you can hike, whale watch, get history lesson in good ol california earthquakes and if your a foodie eat some of the best oysters there also

I've been to all these beautiful places except Sedona. The most amazing place of all is the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes in Michigan. This has been a mother natures jem to the world. The 450 foot decent to Lake Michigan is spectacular and the climb back up in humbling! Go there, the sandy Lake Michigan shoreline goes forever! It's what they say, Pure Michigan at it's finest!

I have lived in Asheville for 18 years, I love the weather, the scenery and most of all the people who live here. The art and restaurant scene is incredible. I sell real estate and there are some great deals out there this year also and property is selling very well this year!
