Which accent do you find most annoying?

Sometimes, with some people, I can't stand a real thick Downeast accent.

I come from Manchester, England and I don't have a strong Mancunian accent. I find strong ones annoying.

Brazilean accent
And Chilean is kinda annoying.

i have an irish accent

Seeing as how I have no accent, and can do vaguely well at a British person, Irish person, and Indian telephone company person accents. I don't really find any accent annoying. Course though, how and what that accent is being used for does have a lot to do with an accent in any situation.

Because there's no one with "no accent". There's no proper "tongue" per say. It's quite arrogant to think your way of talking is the proper way. I'm pretty sure you're the one with the accent to a Scottish person and they talk with "no accents".

I never said you were Scottish. It's called an "example". You put those words in your own mouth when you said you had no accent. And accents are definable depending on region. I live in New Jersey, and no, we don't pronounce it New Joisey. We say JA-ER-SEE. People from California, West coast accent, typically nasally.

Well typically, you didn't list Floridians, with a Dad from Michigan who lived in Florida most of his life., and a mom from TN who lived in Alabama and Florida. And If I go to Russia "My {Accent}" wouldn't be definable by region, just because you live in a place, doesn't mean you have that accent type.

Yeah, because I'm going to believe that actually happened. Or if it did, they're just ignorant. Life is a matter of perspective. You may sound like you have no accent to yourself, but to, say, a British person, you DO have an accent. Like they have no accent to themselves, they do to you. Therefore, one can only conclude, no one speaks the proper tongue.

Southern accents.

It's not the accent as much as the sound of the voice. Examples of voices that get on my nerves are Fran Drescher and Chris Rock even though he is funny, poor guy's voice.. just ehhhhhh >_<

I've been watching a lot of the British talent shows on youtube lately and the people who come in and drop their "t"s and the end of the words and more or less forget to pronounce the middle of the word are a tad annoying. And yet they open their mouths and out comes the most beautiful sounds, words articulated magnificently. Go figure.
