When You RAVE, Is It Earned or Freely Given?

I rave what I like, and don't rave what I don't think deserves it.

If it's a friend I rave, even if I don't agree. Only on their initial comment, not everything on a post.
If I don't know them but think they make sense, I rave.
If I don't know them and think they have balls, I rave. Especially when they hold their own against someone with clout.

Even if I don't agree if they took some time and made a good effort then I rave.
I may also rave if I agree.
I try not to rave the nasties even if they are general views I agree with.
I would like real conversations and points made rather than just flip remarks with not substance.

I Rave for several reasons. To support good friends who are articulate, thoughtful, respectful and on point. Having said that, I also Rave (whenever possible), those of opposite ideological views who are thoughtful, respectful, articulate, and give thoughts to ponder.

It should be noted that when I do come across a good discussion or debate and though I may heartily disagree, I will also Rave he poster for h/her thoughts.

If I agree with you and you put your opinion in a logical, articulate manner I will rave you till the cows come home!!

My raves do not necessarily mean that I agree with you. They mean I understand and respect your point of view. I see raves as a friendly and respectful gestures.

I like to let most everyone know I appreciate them reading my blogs and answering. I like to let authors know that I liked their blog by raving it, and possibly sharing it. It's also a good way to let someone know you received their last answer, even if you decide not to answer back. This way you know the conversation is over and the other person finds no need to reply again.

I like getting raves for my posts. It lets me know you enjoyed them. The rave helps the author get more readers as well, which is something I like even more. I think it is appropriate and kind to reward each other for our questions and comments by raving and sharing.

I rave every question I answer but I only rave comments or blogs that are good...in my opinion obviously

Definitely earned. Even if I don't agree with it, if someone puts forward their argument in a very well-communicated manner and impresses me, it's a rave.

I only rave when it is earned. I rave for good content and great photos.

I mostly rave if I like the comment or for the good downloads that I see on SH, but I will
sometimes rave just because they are my SH friends !

If I like something I rave it

its freely given to anyone answering my questions, its freely given to any of my close friends on here but anyone else only gets a rave if its a cute picture of a kitty or something i agree with strongly.

The comment has to make sense and be on point.

I rave for different reasons.. If you answer my question, whether I agree or not, I'll rave you. If you reply to my comment, you get a rave. And of course if I like your answer, I'll rave it...

It's when I strongly agree with an opinion, or when I think "Man. I should have thought of that."

They have to be earned. I do rave someone that gives me an answer even if I don't agree, smart ass sarcastic answers don't get raved.

I only really give raves to those whose opinion I like or if it is just a random question about whatever. I hate when people just randomly rave everyone no matter what. But, oh well.

I think their answers must be well formed or short but to the point. I do NOT only give Raves to answers agreeing with my personal opinion but rather to anyone who has thought out a response and makes a point.

I'll rave just about every answer on a question that I asked. However, outside of my own questions, I only rave responses that I find especially enlightening. It could have made me laugh, made me think differently, have me consider something new... I won't rave just anything.

If I think someone has made a good point or said something funny then I'll give them a rave =3

It's not that har for me to give a rave, but it's a MUST for me to like and/or think well of it

Unless something said is just too hideous to me. But I love to rave people. It also helps me to tell what is new on threads. What I've read and haven't.

I rave people that have posted something I agree with, or in some cases I might not have the same opinion, but they have stated theirs in an eloquent way!

people have to leave me thinking, or else they don't deserve the tiny bit of happiness you get when you see that someone has given you a rave.
