Grocery shopping doesn't count, right? Because we all have to grocery shop. I go to the grocery store about, on average, four times a month. I have to walk 1.7 miles and carry my groceries home, so I try to keep the load reasonable. That's groceries.
Rx (Walgreens) I go on average once a month to pick up various prescription renewals.
Let's see, this is 2012, right? I'm in Glendale (Phoenix), AZ now, came from Austin, TX in June 2008. Around, say, June 2005, my friend Dolly and I went to Barton Creek Mall in Austin because I needed new underwear. Got it. I had not been to the mall for over three years prior to that day and never made it back there before I left Texas in 2008. You getting this pathetic tale?
In Arizona, again Xing out grocery stores, my dear friend Barbara, who had a car, needed to go and buy some -- funny coincidence -- underwear, so I went with her. That was about June of 2010. She went to one of the department stores we're all familiar with, can't recall which one, but I accompanied her. I didn't buy anything. (Barbara passed away about 8 months ago.) I haven't been shopping since then.

I was never a huge shopper to begin with, as I was an Army brat raised overseas, but I like to window shop and absolutely love eating out. Haven't been in a restaurant in over a year now, believe it or not. Oh, no, I lied. My dear friend Deborah, who lives in San Antonio, for my birthday last September sent me an airline ticket to visit her for a week and she took me to Red Lobster. I almost forgot about that.
Still looking for work to supplement my social security. But if I get lucky and find some part-time employment, I doubt I'll be shopping much because I will need to save some money for rainy days. Actually, with me, it's more appropriately referred to as flood days. (At least I still have a good sense of humor!)
So there you have it. Basically, in a nutshell, I have a crappy, crappy life. But it's better than nothing. Hah!
Blessings to all and,
May all be well with you ^_^
