I would, however, consider it somewhat pathetic that someone would be that desperate to get points (which, basically mean NOTHING in the broad scheme of life). I guess it's an ego thing for them.

It happens sometimes. I really don't mind walking away from it, but everytime they comment your happenings light up. So you keep checking them and it's this personal conversation going back and forth with nothing to do with the poll. I really don't care what Sailor Jerry and Sussy Rottencrotch are doing this weekend. Ha!

A bit odd. I could see if I threw you a party and thanked people for coming, but....
Other people look at polls on SH differently. I think of my polls, well as my abode. I moderate them, SH might not like that, but oh well. I get people that like to promote their websites, or thier SH question on my SH question. I let them know quick to promote theirselves elsewhere. But that's just me...
