I'd say when you're at the age that your joints can predict the weather a day or two in advance, then you probably just stick with a regular bed.

On a past visit,my niece slept in her moms room and gave me her loft bed to sleep in.It was kind of fun.But now that she is a teenager,she wants me to remodel her room to accommodate a queen size bed.

There's no age limit on bunk beds. If that's the only thing you have, there's nothing wrong with sleeping in a bunk bed. :)

I had the center one on the right in front tier. It sure beat the hammocks and foot lockers on the old cans.

Barton, Somers, Cony, Conway, Hank. and the Lowry The last time I saw the Midway was at Hunters Point in '68. She was being modernized. Getting the angle flight deck, new elevators. A complete remanufacture. They got another 30 yrs out of her. I was at Hunters Point recommissioning the Somers from DD947 to DDG 34. I was a snipe in the after engine room. The Somers was the only "modern" can I was on.

Only the Navy would let a 19 yr old kid run a 30,000 hp steam engine! It was kinda fun really. It's a bit hard to top it though.
