I got my .bb gun at 8 and had great fun with it shooting flies,grasshoppers, and birds out of the grapes and apricots. New ones are not as powerful.

I got my first BB gun at age six, a Daisy Eagle. I got my first .22 for my seventh birthday, a Remington bolt-action single-shot.

My first was at 9, a Red Ryder and when I was 11 I got a Daisy Pump, you couldn't put 500 BBs into the pump I think it only took 50 but it was more powerful and more accurate too.

I got my first Daisy around 8, technically they couldn't own them but I got both my daughters 22 revolvers when they were 12.

8 as did my 2 sons and will get one for both my grand-daughter & grandsons. At 12 they will get a .22 and at 16 a .308 for killing deer. If I'm still alive when they turn 21 I'll give them their first handgun.

I got my first bb gun at about 5, I don't remember the brand.

I bought my 1st 12 gauge shotgun, a Mossberg pump, at 8 from Montgomery-Wards. (That was before the stripping of Freedoms and Civil Rights was in full swing, and people were safer.)

Yeah I dont have any guns noooo I dont ( hey ss and fibi I dont have any so don't come to my door) only have baseball bats and fireplace pokers. My fire place poker collection is quite extensive12 gauge, 308 30-06,243,.44mag,45 38 .22x3 .25 M1,

Yup it's a great fireplace poker collection

Take a hunter safety class, then go take a shooting class. I think you will find out that it is very fun.

I got my first 4-10 over & under when I was 8. But I had to have someone there to use it. I didn't get my bb/pellet gun until I was 10. I usually got to use it alone.

A Remington .22 rifle for my 9th b'day, along with an NRA membership.

My father had this crazy idea that guns aren't toys; I never owned a cap gun, bb gun or water pistol. And more than one kid had his bb gun or air rifle taken away from him if my father saw (or heard) him shoot at anything. My dad was great!

I agree my dad would not let me point any gun Squirt, toy, at any human. Bugs,flies and birds eating the crops were ok ( so long as I had a safe background)

I got a Daisy at age 8. I still have a Daisy Red Rider and another Chinese model that shoots bbs or pellets at 800 fps.

My brother got one but I used it as much as he did. He shot me in the hand when I put it over the end of the barrel. I paid him back by sticking a dart in his forehead when he wouldn't move out of the way when I was shooting darts. We both have scars that we inflicted on each other. I used to laugh when my mother lived with us before she died and she'd watch the kids play outside and tell me that they could get hurt and their parents should be watching them!
