Sure you appreciate the start of a new year, but you’re not really one to make a big hoopla out of that one night. After all, you just finished celebrating Christmas so a quiet night at home sounds like the perfect way to kick off the New Year. You’re most likely to cuddle on the couch with someone you love and list of all the wonderful things that happened in the past year. That’s sure to show you there’s much to look forward to in the New Year.
No matter your style, celebrating New Year’s Eve can be a fun for the whole family. Make resolution magnets for the fridge so everyone sticks—no pun intended—to this year’s goals. Or put together a family time capsule to mark the passing of another great year.
Whip up some special New Year’s Eve appetizers and non-alcoholic cocktails so even the kiddies can toast the coming year. Happy New Year!

You’ve got all the clocks in your house synchronized, your punch bowl filled, and you know all the words to “Auld Lang Syne.” What can you say…you’re nuts for New Year’s Eve.

I love celebrating New Year’s Eve as long as the kids are invited to join in the fun. I have got plenty of fun ideas to ring in the new year just like a kid at heart. This new year, I’ll be making my own noisemakers and offering an apple cider toast for the “noon” year (because no one wants to deal with over-tired kids to start the New Year). We’ll drink to that.
