What's Your Ideal Marriage Proposal?

Men should always propose to the lady on one knee, possibly with her female friends present, to make it more official.

so... when are we getting married? (excerpt from my life - nancy asked me that question.) 42 years ago

it worked - we were walking in a park late one night and she sat on the stairs to the slide facing me and I was holding the rails and we....... well she asked me that question I answered ...oh hell I dont remember my answer - but we got married a month later on a wednesday night in the christian church. afterwards bruces horn quit as we were driving away from the church so paul hoyt stuck his head out the window and yelled HONK HONK for ssseveral miles.

I'm a pokemon lover, so I think it'd be cool if he had a pokeball with a ring inside and a note saying "I choose you." =D I read that somewhere and thought it was so cute x3.

something unique...I was given two hockey jerseys wrapped up for our first Xmas as a "couple". One was a white NY Rangers (my team) and a Black Pitts Penguins (his team) and he asked me to marry him (we are hockey finatics) so needless to say our invites were "hockey tickets" and we got married on ice with our wedding party in matching attire.

I'm not expecting any proposal in my future, but if it happened I would just not want it to be a public splashy sort of thing. Private Please.

I don't really care. If someone does ever propose to me, I just hope he realizes what we'll be getting ourselves into.

That's a very hard question. I was never the kind of girl who thought about getting married and what my wedding would be like (I get quite freaked out hearing girls or young women speaking in detail about when they'll get married, how many children they'll have, what their wedding will be like etc.). So I've never thought of being proposed to either. All I know is I would NOT want to be proposed to in a room front of people. I'd feel as if he was asking me there so that I'd feel like I couldn't say no or that I needed to think about it to him because I'd look like a complete bitch in front of everyone. Getting proposed to at all wouldn't be that ideal for me because anyone who knows me at all well would know that I don't really ever want to get married.

But the proposal in Sex and the City when Harry proposed to Charlotte did make me cry, so I guess that was a good one even if it was in a room full of people.

I think if he asks my dad.. I'd gain more respect for him.. Plus I think it's cute when the actually get down on one knee....:)
