all of the above movies are masterpiecies but i would say 1408 cause it happened to pass me the feeling of desperation so good !!

Texas Chainsaw Massacre

I enjoyed the suspense in those movies. The gore and blood, it's simply an original horror masterpiece.
The remakes were pretty awesome too. I love horror films.

Night of the Living Dead is my favorite from that group BUT I do not consider those movies Scarey at all. To me true Scarey movies are ones that are real case scenerios that could happen like Domestic Disturbance was . . . or if you are into the devil and his possible influence The Fallen was scarey enough. Cape Fear and some of the old classics was full of scarey situations and did not have the ridiculous blood, guts and gore.
