I was once accused of starting a gang. This was back in Jr. High in small town USA. Gangs were unheard of back then in our area, especially a girl gang...lol I never did figure out what made them think such a thing, but we sure got in trouble over it.

Mr. Lewis never would tell me why they thought that...said I knew why...lol It probably would have been funny, except for the big pow wow they held with all the parents. I swear, I was grounded from 11 on!

Btw my happenings is making me mad. It didn't notify my that you had replied, I just saw you raved my comment so I clicked on it to check if you replied...and what do you know, you did. I think SH is horrible about notifying you about replies and raves, I swear it doesn't tell me about half of them. Actually I get happenings all the time where I click on them and nothing's there.
I had five older brothers. My folks were old school and had a 'boys will be boys, but little girls...' attitude. I wanted to do what my brothers were doing, damn it! :)
Fortunately for me and unfortunately for you...that is correct. Hell, I remember being a bitty little thing and holding my arm out...bro was coming through with his motorcycle (no helmets then) and would grab me by my arm and throw me on the back...Ma had a fit, and Dad said, "they're fine Barb, don't worry..." Well, we were fine. I am thankful that I grew up when I did...we lived rather than worrying about what might be dangerous...hell, breathing is dangerous...we lived. You have that option now, go for it!
It is that. Another difference is that back when I was a kid, neighbors and family friends had a green light to discipline whoever's kids were at their house. That would cause a lawsuit today, more than likely.
