Letters from my mother and father for sentimental reasons. Love letters from my husband
I`m tempted to burn at this minute. Surely as far as importance it must be birth certificate, and social security card., although they can be replaced.

I once had a photo. I kept it in a small (tiny) suitcase that got stolen years ago during a move. I didn't know of the photo's existence until I was in my 20s. It was a picture of my when I was about 3 or 4 years old at a grotto in Germany. I was sat on a bench in front of a huge wooden cross. The light shone through the trees and was dappled across the whole of the photo. The cross had a figure painted upon it by the light. It was the outline of a crucified humanoid. The huge nail in the ankles (one nail, ankles crossed over one another) and the arms, hands and other nails quite easy to see. The outline of the head was hazy but clearly the head hung down. When I first saw the photo in a box of many photos (my dad was an avid photographer back then) I was stunned by the shape on the cross. It was clear there was nothing on the cross, but the light drew the picture.

My mom told me there was nothing on the cross when the photo was taken. But the outline in light was plain on the photo. I asked for the photo and was given it. I showed it to a friend who was a photographer years later and he wanted to do some experiments on it, but I didn't take him up on it, thinking it might be sacreligious or something. I wish I still had it, because I would post it up for all to see. I'll never forget that photo.
And the odd thing is, I'm an agnostic.................... go figure.

flaca BN-0 That is a wonderful story, and I`m so glad you shared that with us. From your description, I can visualize the picture. I feel saddened by your loss of the picture. Maybe the person that stole the little suit case was somehow supposed to and needed to see that picture. Even though the picture is gone it will always live in your memory where no one can steal that. I am like you I don`t know what I believe.
