We stayed up 48 hours straight because we wanted to get to the last portage and get to our destination sooner. And eat real food. Not freeze dried crap!!! When we got to the Van and restaurant it was torture! We'd been in the wilderness for 2 weeks! Humans sounded 100X's louder than normal, along with any other sound!!! It was deafening!!! We wanted to scream and run away and hide!!!!
