I believe Smart is when you read books, and can contain information. it's more logic then anything
To me Wise is more like you have life experience and inner knowledge on how to give advice
Being wise is acquired though age and is basically the ability to philosophicaly ration with the commonsenses in life. I think sometimes this leared from "trail and error", where intelligence is more of something that is inherited through genes??
A smart person would look up the definition of the two words some time in their life but a wise one additionally recognizes why the differences are and aren't important, how applicable they are and how to best apply them. Something like that.

Wisdom is the ability to utilize your knowledge correctly.
You can be smart without being wise, but you can't be wise without having some degree of intelligence.
Hmm...good question. Excellent question actually.
My best guess: Smart is someone who knows. Wise is someone who understands. Knowing and understanding are of course, two separate things.
wisdom is typically intellect while smart is intelligence, or to put another way, smart is more the result of what you would obtain from books while wisdom usually comes from experience.
You pick up wisdom with experience (hopefully) you're born either smart, stupid, or somewhere inbetween. Just because you're smart doesn't always mean you're wise.
One can be book smart, smart in social situations, etc. Wisdom is not often learned. Wisdom is an inbred sense to know what consequences actions will bring.
Wise seems more of philosophical trait or dealing with behaviors or real life scenarios. Smart seems to lean more towards scholastic topics... But I'm neither so don't listen to me!
Smart (Intelligence) u birth with that..no one can teach u that...or learn about...u have or not
