Alot of people hav been O.D.ing on meds (prescription & over-the-counter)..Theyre mix-ing/takng them 2gether or with othr substances like alcohol, crack, coke, herion..which in many cases, they shouldnt..Like the Joker, Heath Ledger did..He mixed his meds 2 help combat the flu & a fever..& had a fatal reaction 2 those combined meds..
There are so many that to list them would take too long. Many pain relievers and other pills are very easy because you may forget you have taken them. Alcohol is also easy if the person is not careful.
Yep, I found it something of a shock when i found out you really CAN manage to overdose on Vitamin C.
I have Gallstones and was warned about it by a doctor and told to knock off the extra Vitamin C I was taking to avoid colds since it was making things worse.
It is possible to die from aspartame (nutrasweet) poisoning. Aspartame is metabolized into methanol (wood alcohol), which is metabolized into formaldehyde (embalming fluid). Comsume too much and it will kill you, that's why it is not sold in loose form like sugar.
The Center For Disease Control keeps track of deaths caused by supplements. In almost every year that they have kept track, there are zero deaths from them.
Meanwhile, there there about 35 deaths a DAY from NSAIDS such as aspirin.
And a minimum of 150,000 deaths from prescription drugs, along with 1.6 million Emergency Room visits due to adverse effects.
That's not true. My family owns and operates two health food stores. A woman died on Laci Le Beau tea because she didn't follow directions and steeped it for too long.
You might be thinking of cyanide in apple seeds and 1,500 other seeds.
Fortunately the cyanide is bound to benzaldehyde, so it is harmless.
In those with cancer, there is an enzyme that the cancer cells release that unlocks the cyanide causing the destruction of the cancer cell. Meanwhile, the benzaldehyde is converted into benzoic acid, which is a pain reliever.
I O.D.'d on Gravol once.
Sorry...
