I don't mind tuna once in a while in a tuna salad sandwich and I had smoked salmon one time that wasn't too bad but that is the extent of any kind of fish that I could stomach.
If you want to add a touch of flavoring to your tuna salad try a dribble of either sweet pickle juice or the juice from some green olives. You can even add some chopped sweet pickles or chopped olives with the pimento. It may sound odd but it does add some flavor. I use one or the other in tuna salad and in potato salad.
I don't like the way a lot of meats smell when they are cooking. Hamburger is real bad. But they always taste and smell good afterward, so it's all good.
Smell is definitely one factor in my dislike for fish I am sure, there is a grocery locally that has a large fresh seafood section and also does some prepping such as steaming for some of it, I can barely stand to walk by it.
