Hey let's face it, she's an athlete who perspires after a workout and will not under any circumstances live in a beauty shop! It's not bloody practical.
I have her hair type and I understand completely!
By the way, you go girl on get the gold *hugs*
I can't believe a bunch of grown 'bourgousie' folk harassing the young woman on Twitter on how her hair should be 'kept'? Those folks are twitts! Her mom agrees.
Since the African Disaspora in the United States (where I'm from), there was this sifting and sorting amongst the people of who had 'good hair' and 'bad hair'. It's sick as hell I know, but with all the technology and comsetological innovations it shouldn't be an issue on why a person be judged on that. (Madame CJ Walker, I thank you, and I'm greatful for the dredlock option :) .
This hair type is very sensitive to heat, cold and other things, so one can't just do ANYTHING to it without paying a price.
There was also this stigma that went with it, like it was a validation thing if one's hair is straighter and disdain if it was not.
Bourgousoise people, I'm putting you on notice to stop the madness and check your own self esteem, stop tearing people down!
Everybody else, read the article and you'll understand why my hair type is unique.
Thanks for reading.
