However long the engagement lasts. That's up to them. There is no right or wrong answer. My parents were married 55 years, until my dad died. They were going out for two weeks before they got married. I know this isn't the norm, but I'm just saying. Anyway, the time is based on the time the couple are comfortable with courtship and engagement.

The longer you wait the better it will be as the anticipation builds. Also, if you grow your friendship and make it strong FIRST, your relationship will be much happier and have a good chance of lasting.

Until you are comfortable with each other and know you're serious. My boyfriend and I have been on and off together for a little over 2 and a half years and we're both virgins still. :)
