It depends on how hot the other woman is.

Somebody would come out of my house with a body full of bruises both of them.

Essentially, I did, though I didn't actually find him in bed with her. I did find the evidence of the affair, though. It hurt.

The good news is that I'm better off without him. Though it hurt more than I can say and for a long time, I resented the woman, I understand now. I know better than she probably realizes how persuasive and believable liar he is. He broke up her marriage, too, but I understand her husband took her back. He must have loved her enough to forgive her, but I also know that my ex played on her fears, her problems with her husband, and made it seem like he was so understanding of her. They weren't together more than a few months before she began to see what he really is and kicked him out. Please don't think I hate my ex, though. I don't. What I see is a very sad man who cannot look within himself to change and must always be a 'victim' and blame someone else.

No one goes through life without some pain. Just part of the learning. :)

I like to look at the good and bad as a learning experience, but far too often my emotions just take control and I no longer see logic.

I know the feeling, but time is a great healer. It also helps to give perspective.

Yup, you are right about that, but during the time of pain, it just feels like it will be never ending.

I found all sorts of help from unexpected places. Some people said that writing it out in a journal helped them. I found it made it hurt more! I found 'art' therapy of a sort was more helpful. Went out and bought a sketch pad, crayons, markers, pastels, and colored pencils and drew how I was feeling. It was suggested that I draw how I perceived my life before the divorce, what I was feeling now, and what I wanted for the future. It helped. I saved up all the sketches and journal entries and put them in a big envelope. My sister is an artist and has gone to Burning Man more than once. They have a 'chapel' of sorts which is build every year and burned along with everything else. People put things they need to release in it. So, she took my big envelope of pain and hopes for the future and it was released. :)

Sometimes, creating our own rituals helps us get through the pain.

I would have no patience. He better hope I have enough to let him clothe himself before I shove him out the door.

I'm going to tell them it over, kick him out, then find the nearest shotgun and kill him
