What would you do if someone you loved asked you to kill them as a favor?

so like someone you loved has been going through a lot, and they just wanna die. so, they ask you this.
They say :"hey can you do me a favor?"
you say: What?
They say: I want you kill me
You say: I cant, I love you.
They say: if you love me, then do this for me.
What would you do?

And if you truly LOVE ME then you would know I couldn't do this and it is cruel to ask me to do this. Do I not make you happy enough? Am I not good enough?

(if he says no its not me its work, home, or school then I would pack a bag of the essential and his stuff jump in the car and leave. Get as far away from the stress causing the one I love to want to have his life taken.)

I would give them a plane ticket and tell them to go to a distant land and be happy as true love never takes a life but does everything possible to preserve it and bring a smile on the face. If its your presence that is making them talk that way, take out your presence and give them their freedom and watch if they really kill themselves post that. 99.9% chance, they won't unless they are too cowardly to face reality without you.
But that said, death in this case would be of a relationship and not of the love as you have given them the New Life and New Beginning while you take on the mantle to live in that love or move on which is not relevant in this context.
From personal experience, set my husband free despite still being married to him and he is happier without me.

IFF they were terminal and in pain, I'd find a way to stop the pain. If that product or process also happens to kill them, it was indeed an accident.

Only if they had some terminal disease that was going to kill them anyway, and even then I'm not sure I could follow through, i just don't have killing in me, not even animals!

the only time anyone of sound mind would ask such a thing is if they were terminally ill and suffering.
of course I wouldnt do it if someone just asked you to who was just depressed or whatever, but I believe in euthanasia. People should be allowed to die with dignity and not fade away to the point where they are a vegetable and have to be put on and off the toilet.

Say no. And it would probably make me re-think my feelings. Such a request is absurd and unfair. It also indicates that person doesn't love you or they wouldn't ask such a thing.

It would depend on the situation. If they were imobile, and physically incapable of doing it themselves, and were asking me for help, for the purpose of preserving their dignity, I probably would. Suicide is horrible, especially for the survivors, but many (including myself) value dignity as much if not more than life.

Try to make them see the good in life and tell them that I'm sorry for being selfish but I want them around. I'd miss them too much and I couldn't bear to kill them

No way...I don't think a person could really love another and ask them to kill knowing they would be putting that person in prision and leaving them to live with such guilt..
