I watched many events on television, and remember the really interesting ones. One that I watched while I was getting ready for work September 11, 2001, will never be erased from my memory. Ever.

There are several; the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, when Challenger blew up, watching scenes from the Columbine shootings, Princess Diana (wedding and funeral), the search for JFK Jr., and of course 911.

The assassination of JFK. I was in class and we were watching the president on TV. And folks in my class freaked when he got shot. The next week there was a shooter on our stadium shooting at people. And we had to hide from him.

I still remember the landing on the moon and I can also remember the televised shooting of JFK.

Nothing over the past 50 years has ever stood out in my mind and had such a stong impression on me.

Without question seeing the aircraft plowing into the WTC and the subsequent collapse of the towers. A close second was watching in abject horror the slaughter on the "Highway of Death". Strange how my two most memorable TV moments, a decade apart, are so intimately connected.

It happened in the month I started university, I remember the announcement of Princess Diana's death. Her son Prince William was staying at Balmoral Castle at the time and had come to visit the University I was at as he was about to attend there. He met us new intakes, I'm not a Royalist but I remember feeling so sorry for him after he learned later on that evening that his mother had been killed, he seemed an all right guy, quite sad really. I remember watching the funeral on TV.

I wonder if the truth will ever come out about her death? IF it wasn't for charles and his now wife she would probably still be here for her boys.
