K'Nex, Tinkertoys, Bristle Blocks, and I had this unnatural obsession with the Rubik's Cube. I remember finally solving the 3x3 one. Made my, well, childhood.
Buttons and cars, I used to pretend the buttons were people getting out of the toy cars and I would use my mums cigarette boxes as buildings for a makeshift mall and high street.
My favorite childhood toy was Hot Wheels I was 9 when they first hit the market. I wished I had kept them, some of them are selling for thousands of dollars.
Note that the 2009 Barbie is so thin, she looks very under weight. I understand the 1959 body type was too large on top, but did the 2009 body type have to promote eating disorders?
A life size talking Jill doll. There was also another toy that was one of my favorites. I can't remember the name of it, it was a large ball that had a plastic circle around it to step on and start jumping (it's from the 80's).
I liked games, Scrabble, Mille Bornes and others from a very young age. I cannot remember any toys especially except for Fisher Price Little People. I had the family, the house that opened all the way, the dog, the car. etc.
It is proved that the lego helps develop the child. Other toys, a little lather was a monopoly that has the same characteristics. Needless to say, cars, tricycles and bicycles were part of the past for many.
