"Medal of Honor--A Vietnam Warrior's Story"--by Roy P. Benavidez
Excellent book; just finished it the other day. Benavidez was a Green Beret, and the last Vietnam vet to get the Congressional Medal of Honor, given to him in 1981, by President Reagan.
He was wounded 38 times; the first time, on his first tour in Vietnam. They told him he'd never walk again. He went on to do two more tours; on his last tour, he was hit 37 times, in the act of saving his unit under intense enemy fire.
He was the kind of soldier who makes you sleep soundly at night, knowing he's out there.
My neighbor knew him personally; served with him in the same unit, and is mentioned failrly prominently in the book.
I was reading "Children of Paranoia" yesterday. It better get good...Im not really into it yet, but I'm giving it a chance because I bought it with my gift card!

I almost bought that at our school book fair. Is it too scary or just somewhat scary? (I know, that sounds silly) but I don't like to read things that are too scary.
It's not scary, per say, but chilling (it's a ghost story). I think you'd be fine with it; it's an excellent read, and it isn't scary but it sticks with you.
Barbara Marciniak's "Path to Empowerment" It's quit amazing and life changing to learn the real power lies with in each and every one of us with our higher selves....thoughts are very powerful and healing... maybe just maybe collectively we could change the world... from greed to love and charity and wouldn't that be nice and save the planet too. Just think if there was love and peace on Earth.. and no greed or anger. And heal ourselves.... Psst. It's a secret.. for-profit doesn't want YOU to know.
