Because of the Affordable Health Care Act, insurance companies volunteered to lower the cost of health insurance by offering thier members free memberships to the "Y" for senior citizens, (Silver Sneakers Program) my wife and I now swim 22 laps 5 days a week. That saves us $1000 a year in membership fees and helps keep us healthy.
When you live rurally .. are the homeowner .. plenty of trees, plenty of bushes .. plenty of raking, mowing, gardening, walking around .. picking up fallen branches, going out and enjoying nature walks .. museums .. enjoying taking classes at the Local College .. CHORES ..
Always PLENTY of physical Activity (and this is before I even get started on the indoor chores of keeping up a home!)
I'm obsessed with my calisthenics. Also walk (not that I consider it much exercise), hula hoop, yoga. I avoid the 'typical' exercise you see in gyms, but I don't know why.
In the summer, I LOVE swimming.
