When I had my foot operated on my boyfriend didn't put the hand held shower nozzle in the shower for me. I had to hire someone to do it and I didn't see my boyfriend until a month later, when my foot got better. Showed me what he was really like. He wasn't there when I need help.

I was watching the movie Dolphin Tale. The tears started rolling when the little girl got out of the van and only had one leg. It didn't help when she saw Winter (the dolphin) with no tail and said "Look mommy, she's just like me."

Hormones. I got into an argument and it was, ya know, near that time and I just started crying out of frustration. It was weird. Some days I just wish I didn't have too experience this hormonal drama. If the Bible's true, then damn you Eve! You greedy apple eating ho!

Thanks. I am a teenager and I feel tensed in my emotions very often.
People my age think I am weird. I can't get a boyfriend. I feel trapped in the town I live in. I want to be drop dead gorgeous but I am just this cute, girl next door type of girl. Just pretty not beautiful.
I really want to leave Ocala and publish my story, The Street Walker and other stories I write. And get a boyfriend.

Do you know what type of girl that guys find the hottest? Forget what the media tells you or what you see the teens going after. Guys more times than not like the girl next door type! Honestly, I wouldn't make that up :-)

People are always going to think something of us, we just can't change that. What we can change is what we allow to bother us. If they say something or give you odd looks, just tell yourself to hold your head that much higher because you're not a cookie cutter person, you are unique, your own person.

If it's your dream to get away, give school 110% so you can have an education that will help get you out of there. Don't look at your life as being doomed, just yet, you got lots of time...now you just need a lil' patience :-)

You are good with these type of things.Thanks.
Plus isn't Jennifer Aniston the girls next door type of woman? I don't find her to be beautiful to be honest with you.
But she gives average looking women hope that we can make it into Hollywood too.

Well thank you, I do appreciate that. Yep she is considered the girl next door type. I think that's why so many like her, because they feel she is one of them. I love Sandra Bullock, to me she has that same wholesome look....and so down to Earth. My mind is blank at the moment but there are many...and now you're thinking & looking at it from the perspective I was hoping you would. Good for you!! :)

That is why I like Jennifer Aniston. I can look at her and relate to her in a way because neither of us are beautiful. Most women IN ALL RACES including Hispanics(They are known for being beautiful) are average looking and I feel she represents what an average woman would look like:modestly attractive but not beautiful REGARDLESS OF RACE.I love Sandra Bullock as well.
I look at pictures of Old Hollywood starlets and I get jealous because they were so so beautiful. Especially Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Jayne Mansfield, Joanna Moore(the woman who played Peggy off of Andy Griffith Show, Ryan O'Neal's ex wife and Tatum O'Neal's mother if you know who she is), Audrey Hepburn,Jane Fonda, Farrah Fawcett, Raquel Welch, Ursula Andress, Bianca Jagger, Dorothy Danedridge etc.

I agree the previous Hollywood starlets were very beautiful. Timeless beauty that I don't know we'll ever see again. I do agree with you on the fact that most women (yes of all races) are just average in looks, what some of them have that some others lack, is that attitude, the confidence that goes a long way. Well of course if they have a trim body, long legs & nice bust that helps them too lol

I envy the women that are naturally beautiful. No effort, no make up, they were just blessed with good genes! Those are the ones I'd like to be like.

Me too. I aspire and would love to be naturally beautiful as well. I am only a teenager so only time will tell. But I don't think we would see such beauty ever again. So I aspire to be beauiful.
And it is rare to see beautiful women in Hollywood these days. Beyonce is beautiful but she has had many surgeries and to me, she is not a natural beauty. As a Black girl, I am pressured to look like Beyonce but she is not natural.
I don't want to look like her if it means changing the way that I look. I know Beyonce did and it isn't right.
Most celebrities, today, have gotten many plastic surgeries.

You couldn't be more right. Beyonce is not representing anything natural for not only women but black girls & women who look up to her. I'd love to see more natural hair, and am glad that more are opening up to & accepting it. All of women as a whole, have to face the awful pressures & expectations to look like the women of Hollywood....but that's airbrushed beauty..something all of us need to keep in mind so we aren't killing ourselves (physically & emotionally) because we don't look like this altered version, of a real woman.

True. I have a hard time accepting my natural hair because it is hard to manage and frizzes often. I haven't relaxed my hair in two years. Beyonce's sister, Solange wears her natural hair.
I feel the pressure to wear a weave or relax my hair often. I have just gotten out of wearing weaves because of my thin edges.
Yes I do have self esteem issues but I am tryng to be confident. I want to get rid of my scarring from acne and razors. Then I would feel better.

I do a lot of reading up on natural hair because my youngest daughter is mixed and has some wild hair. If I let her wear it down & out...people would get lost in there lol
I have seen a lot of Solange lately, love her hair & I'm glad that she and *some* other celebs are encouraging the natural look.
Just don't try to overcome everything overnight so you don't overwhelm yourself. Take baby steps & you'll get there. :-)

Thanks. Your daughter probably is really pretty. I have wild hair as well lol. People tell me to relax my hair or do something with it if I let it down.
And the media is a driving force in people's lives and sometimes it isn't for the right reasons either.
Natural hair is portrayed as ugly and bad hair while straight hair is portrayed as good hair. The Black community passes this down to one generation to another. That is why we have 80% of Black women relax their hair or wear weaves.

I'm partial but yes she is beautiful :-) I've been told that I should relax her hair when she gets older, like a couple of more years but, I won't do that to her hair. Yes, yes & yes and they need to start showing these girls & boys even that natural hair IS beautiful. I have to spend idk how long braiding her hair up but I want to start trying some of the Kinky Coily & letting her hair go...her curls are gorgeous! But as you now, once that dries, ummm yeah lol

It's a product that is suppose to be really good for any curly hair but it gets lots of raves, especially from black women. It can be used for wash & goes or used on braids, twists, etc. Btw sorry I was mistaken it's Kinky curly :)
