I keep finding this thing in my house and it lives underground!

That thing looks pretty creepy! It looks like a camel spider, also known as wind scorpions, sun spiders or solifuges. There are found primarily in desert environments. I wasn't aware that they were indigenous to the U.S.

No idea. It's not a brown recluse. I think I'd have to introduce it to the bottom of my foot, tho.
