The first picture is Monas(monumen nasional/monument national) from my hometown, Jakarta, Indonesia.
The second picture is Tugu from my current town, Malang, Indonesia.

It used to be know for steel.

Now it is known for great football, lots of great hospitals and some great universities.

Scott Joplin Festival, TV series ( Rawhide ) , MO-PAC railroad shops, Katy railroad, Katy Trail, Missouri State Fair and the fairgrounds hosting dozens of events yearly . Just had the Airstream event and BMW motorcycle event here this month. This town is SEDALIA, Mo.

We are still known as the "chair city" even though most of our chair manufacturers went out of business years ago. I think we even had the largest chair in the world at some point in the past.

We are also the "gateway" to the Mohawk Trail.

our outlet malls, and strawberries so good they serve them in restaurants in FRANCE! no joke! at one such restaurant, my grandparents friends payed 30$ for a small bowl of strawberries. when they asked where they came from the waiter told them it was from a little city called Camarillo. they were all "we're FROM there!!" xD

Boston baked beans. I live in bean town.

Oh, and we've got a Metro Train, several of the world's top-rated universities, and great shakes too. But the lottery is as close as we come to gambling. Foxwood Casino is about 100 miles South of us.

I know the Red Sox are in last place, but you could mention them. Home of the U.S.S. Constitution. Harvard University. Home of the Boston Pops Orchestra. The Old North Church. Many other historical places.
