On June 20th, Marvel'ss first gay superhero, the X-Man Northstar, will be marrying his long time civilian boyfriend, Kyle, in Astonishing X-Men #51. How do you feel about Marvel's first gay marriage?

Noone said that the comic book talks about sex. It talks about same sex marriage. Those are two different things.reply

Actually, Northstar was the first gay superhero. And Green Lantern (Alan Scott) was only announced gay after Northstar's wedding was announced. Marvel is only slow in the wedding part. I believe they only just decided on the wedding due to Obama coming out as being pro-gay marriage (although this is only speculation and I may be wrong).reply
- ehrhornp Anthony 2012/06/12 15:47:41+1I have stopped reading comics so son't really know whats going on but always thought that Marvel was on the cutting age. Their characters were more real as they had to deal with real human problems. Glad Marvel is still leading the way.reply

I feel the same way! Marvel actually releases comics that have real people dealing with real people issues along with dealing with living in the world of the superheroreply
