What is your favorite science-fiction movie?

Superman (1978), although some might argue it's not a true sci-fi flick. I think it's the best because of how well it's made. After watching it, you start to believe that it really could happen and it would be nice if it did. Someone with super powers and using those powers to try to help us out when we need that help? That would be superb. Imagine if such a man existed in 2001, we might not have lost all those lives from the WTC buildings collapsing. Hurricane Katrina might not have done as much damage as it did, tsunami's wouldn't cause all that destruction, etc. Unfortunately, don't think such a person could have saved us from things like Jersey Shore, the Kardashians, Lindsay Lohan, Obama, etc.
