It's past tense now, "what WAS". I can't find them anymore.
I liked most of the products including the sno-balls. Now I find the products, "Little Debbie" and "Mrs. Freshley's" crowding the shelves in the stores in my area. Many companies try to make mock sweets like the twinkies and swiss rolls but they are not the same quality we knew of Hostess. The closest I came to the ding dongs are these ones called "Chocolate bells" by Mrs. Freshley's and they don't taste good. ewwww.

I forgot about this company! Their treats are awesome! We used to buy the cake varieties but I haven't seen this product in my city in years! =(

This was one of my faves too. We would get a generous amount of filling, as you can see in the picture =)

Know what? By the time I read in the paper that the company was going under and ppl were raiding the stores to stock up on the goodies, I went to places and could not find any hostess products except for 2 pkgs. of donettes. I went that very day and didn't even get a chance to buy the goods prior. ={

I didn't even try. I would have liked to stock up on some Zingers, but alas, I will have to just hold fond memories of that mystery cream in the middle. :) Check EBAY, bet they have some on auction... LOL

Depending on the area you live, look for "Mrs. Freshley's" cupcakes, these taste better and more soft and creamy than the hostess ones. to me anyway!

Yeah, we have those here. The cupcakes are good, but they're no Hostess. The chocolate mini donuts are just as good or better though.

Zingers are awesome, but they aren't really Hostess. The Chocolate pudding pies are even better, but they aren't really Hostess either. Suzy Q's you get a ton of cream! Even better, but I haven't seen them in years was the Banana Suzy Q!
