Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

"And tears came before he could stop them, boiling hot then instantly freezing on his face, and what was the point in wiping them off or pretending? He let them fall, his lips pressed hard together, looking down at the thick snow hiding from his eyes the place where the last of Lily and James lay, bones now surely, or dust, not knowing or caring that their living son stood so near, his heart still beating, alive because of their sacrifice and close to wishing, at this moment, that he was sleeping under the snow with them."

That's one of my favorite passages out of many, many amazing ones that Rowling wrote.

For fiction? Probably "Faust" by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. For non-fiction "Austria, Prussia, and Germany 1806-1871" by John Breuilly.

The Bible of coarse but after that is a book titled "The Fall of Lucifer" by Wendy Alec. A Christian novel in the line of lord of the rings, no, the lion witch & wardrobe, no not that either. You better just read it.

it is a toss up between "When we were very young" by AA Milne and "The Velentiene Rabbit" by Williams

What I never really noticed before I started writing myself is the two books which are my most favorate have teh exact same theme.... beloved toys becoming real, the power of love to give life

In case you do not know AA Milne is who created "winnie the pooh"

I've read them several times over, except for the last one, which came out March 2011. I've read that once, and can't decide if I want to do it again. I was a little disappointed with the way it all ended, but I think it's in part because I just didn't want to see the series end, lol.

So far, my favorite book is Nabakov's "Pale Fire." I'm only 50, though, and I've only read 5,000 or so books. I've got a lot more reading still to do, and I'm always hoping that I'll find a book to top it.

That's hard! I've loved many books I've read. Two that I've actually read more than once were:
    the giver
    time travelers wife
(which by the way, I was very disappointed the movie didn't end as the book did)
