What is up with this friend zone thing why cant a girl see her guy friend in "that way" the male makes the female laugh, smile, the guy listens, and does stuff for her isnt that what the girl is looking for?

I've cross over from friends to romantic before, got screwed over by the guy, and lost the friendship. Just not worth it to me anymore.

He was my best friend (hung out with everyday) for 6 years. Then he just stopped talking to me after a mutual friend, that we BOTH knew was a compulsive liar, told him I hit on him. After 6 years, he should have know better, but instead, just cut me off. I called him up and said "Look I didn't want this relationship to begin with, but I need you as a friend." He never called back. about 10 years later I saw him on my street and he apologized and said he should have know it was a lie and that the kid did the same thing with his next girlfriend and asked if we could start hanging out again. I said, "Sorry, but if you could do that to me after what we went through together, I'll never be able to trust your friendship again."

Yup. We were together everyday. Exploring in the woods, rollerblading, checking out cool places. He was the person I wanted to be around when life kicked me in the butt.

If a girl doesn't look at the guy that way, he should respect her feelings. If someone doesn't like me the same I like them, I don't try to change that. I accept it and move on.
