What is the waterpipe good for?

I smoked waterpipe yesterday, and it really didn't give an effect. It tasted like nothing, just apples. I asked what I was supposed to feel, they said nothing. I don't get it. There is tobacco in it, but what is that good for if you only taste the apple and it doesn't even have an effect. I am just sorta confused about the point of it. It might be that it gives the same effect as cigs(I don't feel any effect by cigs), which means that I won't be able to notice the effect???

+1I actually tried that though, but maybe I just didn't notice the effect of the waterpipe. But honestly I believe the waterpipe is just nikotine :Preply
