Oh I love Jeff Beck! This is a great song. And I see him whenever I can. What a talent! Two Rivers is one of my favorites too.

Snowbird...not the version of fluffiness that Anne Murray puked in the sixties or seventies, but the original with all it's darkness that Gene McLellan wrote and sang. Murray took a song of truly tragic feelings and turned it into a peice of pop crud that belied the original that Gene wrote in the depths of a depression that had him on the precipice of suicide. Find a copy of him singing it and know that he wrote it INSTEAD of killing himself one dark dark night. It's the saddest thing you will ever hear sung.

I remember being 13 listening to this for the first time on the radio and crying. I think it was one of the first times music evoked a feeling other than sing along for me, and helped me find more in music when I wanted it. I still like a simple easy to enjoy song but people like Lenard Cohen, Bruce Springsteen,Tom Waits, and the genius who was Eugene McLellan are all apreciated more by me because of this particular song.
