I've eaten Ostrich, and snails and just about anything unusual. But the top of my list has got to be the "Chicken Feet" I ate at the "Palms Restaurant" in South San Francisco.

Salo. It's uncooked, pickled bacon fat. The Russians eat it on a thick slice of bread with WAY too much butter on top. I had it several times over there.

The weirdest food I've eaten that was totally not weird? Escargot. It was delicious melt-in-your mouth goodness.

And caviar? Not good at all. I'm not a fan.

I've also eaten alligator, ostrich, and cow tongue tacos (taco de lingua). Delicious! I'll try anything twice. ;-]

Durian is really good baked into pastry. The Vietnamese will bake pastry -- a French influence from the days of French Indochina -- and put durian into it. But cut open the fruit, and STINK!

I don't know how you all love it but I've tried it and the taste was, well, horrible taste to me. Maybe I should have mixed it with some tomato sauce, chilly sauce or something.

It is a Scottish dish made out of a sheep's stomach turned inside out, and stuffed with oatmeal, chopped sheep's kidneys and liver, salt and pepper. It is cooked by boiling it for several hours. So celebrate Scotland with it.

Europeans do not have the hang ups about eating organ tissue like Americans do. It is very typical in Europe to have organ tissue like heart, brains, liver, and kidneys. Because cattle were raised on the open frontier, they would just have the muscle tissue for steaks, roasts, and hamburger. If you have European roots, then you can try the organ tissue, nothing gross about it.

You can get it at a British import store, they will have it in the freezer section. It really is quite good. So is black pudding and white pudding. I prefer the black pudding. "God Save The Queen."

Fun
