They tasted fantastic, a sunday treat, served in a palm leaf from a street vendor..to be fair I dont think Dad knew what they were either until years later!!..but....maybe he did lol

Gator tail. Way too chewy to try again, was years ago and anyway I've gone vegan since. But friends came down and wanted to "experience" FL so I indulged them just that once.

It's called "Maghadeef" and it's basically a wrap of everything left of the meat (Intestines, fat tissues) a southern Yemeni delicacy

It's actually really delicious if cooked right ;)

Well, I was in France and several of us were trying to figure out the menu (even one who was Canadian French). We asked about one and the Maitre D put his fingers to his head like horns and said MOOOO! We said "Oh! Beef, we'll take that! Turned out to be beef brains! AARGH!

It is! I like them with or without onions, but however you eat them they are best served fresh.. The only downside is they make your breath smell.

Stir fried with black walnuts and an orange and clover honey sauce served over sticky rice is pretty good. Roasted over an open fire with just salt and pepper is simple but delicious as well.

Yes, the bald eagle is protected and illegal to hunt, consume, or generally have in your possession any part of one. Same with the spotted owl. There was that whole brouhaha a while back about loggers and the potential threat to the owls, they got listed as protected, blah blah blah...

frog legs at a Chinese resturant and crayfish from fools hallow lake in Arizona boiled on a camp stove the crayfish grossed me out a little when removing the shells but my brother just loved it so now on camping trips I'm the designated crayfish catcher almost got my brother pinched he was mad at me for that one :)

i liked to put chicken roll, blue cheese, banana, cucumber and jam in a sandwich. it tasted pretty good but people still called it "odd".
