Read a story online that a woman was sitting in a Wendy's and Bill Murray walked up to her, stood for a moment, then took one of her fries and ate it.

I met him once when I was a bartender at a 5 star hotel. He sat at my bar for two nights in row, each time for hours, and obviously, stole the show from all of the crowd; his personality matches perfectly with the autograph story. He's actually a very humble guy, which I think comes from his blue collar background.

I was working in NYC when they were filming Ghost Busters II (yeah, a long time ago). They were in a break when a friend and I walked by and I yelled out "Bill you're the greatest, I have seen every movie you have ever made!" - Sort of dumb but it was the best I could come up with on the spot. In his wackiest voice he immediately shot back "Get that man medical attention!". My story!

He lives here in Charleston. He's part owner of our Yankees affiliate Minor League Baseball team. He makes all kind of random appearances around town. He's gotta be the coolest celebrity there ever was.

the french fry story is very believable.....for murray....

If you ever get a chance, go to St.Augustine FL. and eat at his place "Caddyshack"

the waiters have lots of stories about Bill and his brothers playing golf there.
"eat drink and be Murray"

Lol....I did not know about the brothers but I saw him once live at Pebble Beach for the Pro-Am and he was Hilarious and very much seemed to be enjoying himself! Was the food good?

it was ok.....the menu.was a "just like mom used to make" theme...
meatloaf....hamburgers and the like...

Lots of memorabila on the walls ....and a great gift shop....

Although Bill Murray has many great stories from his life, I selected this answer which is a quote from the movie Zommbieland, simply because his short cameo in that movie epitomizes this actors wonderful comedic acting skills in the proverbial "Nutshell". A true American icon!

Got a chance to speak to BM in Vegas (long ago). A beautiful blonde came up behind him and stuck her hands down his pants. Without skipping a beat, he excuses himself, puts his arm around her and walks off calmly. I've had a man-crush ever since.
