146 MPH with my Audi in the middle of the night on the Western Kentucky Parkway on the way for my grandson's birth at Fort Knox. The dang governor kicked in so the auto would not go any faster.

123 in my 63 VW bus WITH the gear reduction still in it and stock height. I did that ONCE. again, ONCE. I was drunk and it was in town, but at 2-2:30 in the morning, when all the rest of the drunks are out and about. Pegged Pops' 78 TA many times. 144 in a 66 Chevel on the SH 14 in Cali. A 12 cylinder jag just blew by us. 140 on the same freeway in a Lotus Esprit and blew the head. Same guy that was driving the Chevel. That was quite scary because he didn't react well and almost lost control. In a 914 at 160 and drove that one myself at 130. Many many more. One GF of mine had a 67 Shelby GT 500.

100 MPH -- that was years ago -- I have wised up since then. Now days I usually go 60 MPH at the maximum - don't even usually go 70 MPH where it's allowed.
