Just one word!! that`s difficult, there`s so much lacking in this little town, culture, dignity, pride, cleanliness, it`s gone down hill due to constant cuts yet we pay more + more for services, society + community has changed so much, I`d say BORING is the best description.
No, but i think they`re all pretty much the same whatever party. I live in N.Wales, so we have the Welsh assembly that also dictates what funds we receive, just another gravy train for a bunch of Welshies really, there`s so many on this gravy train, no wonder there`s a shortage of money we`re paying for their very comfortable lifestyle.
Yes, but it goes on everywhere + all the time. A few years ago some councilor called looking for votes in local elections, i said " we only see you when you want something " he`s a smarmy sort, i questioned him on excessive expenses claimed by ministers, he laughed + said " Everyone does it, it`s acceptable, it`s a perk !!!", at that time our Welsh Assembly Minister was Rhodri Morgan, his expenses had been well over £1 million, he`d had a trip to Patagonia, a trip to Ireland with his friends Golfing + the Races all at our expense, he was certainly leading the Good life, while our communities go down hill, it`s all jobs for the boys + they line their pockets.
Devolution has had bad, unintended consequences. I think I remember that a number of Westminster politicians had serious problems (last year?) with inflated expenses or perks. Is there an Accounting Office in Wales which might look into the matter?
Lots of politicians have been fiddling expenses for years, some have now been prosecuted, some even jailed. I don`t know if anyone has ever looked into the Welsh expenses, i would imagine there`s some sort of accounting takes place, but when the A.M feels free to spend money like he did who`s going to argue, he had a Heart attack s few years ago, which was`nt surprising he was more than well fed, he soon lost weight + has since retired. Fiddling goes on at all levels. Fiddling makes it sound unimportant in a way, in fact it`s Theft + Abuse of Public Funds.
A train wreck. And yes the train wreck pictured here happen in my town (literal), but it has nothing to do with the community being "a train wreck" (figurative).
(LOVE the Rural little town nearby .. it is so .. peaceful).
