Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease. l have it and have to take medication for it. It's when the opening from your stomache leading into the intestine openes up at the wrong time and often brings acid up through to the esophagus. It is very painful. Often the stomache of people who have this make way too much acid. As long as I take my medication I'm ok. My doctor gave me Omeperazole which is available in generic. Without that medication it's very painful for me. Plus I have a hiatal hernia which doesn't help matters any.
i am not giving medical advice, but there are over the counter meds to help.... a little research on your part. If this is your medical problem, then there is a certain amount of scarring and erosion in your esophagus. see a doctor please.
