I don't see any top to the scale? I'm feeling left in.
But, seriously, a 12-year-old swore at you? I would feel hurt too. I've never tried to keep track of the age of those people who swore at me. It would have required an exhaustive list. However, it might have been interesting to run the mean, median, mode and standard distribution of the swearing ages. But, I'm sure the curve would be skewed. Why not try using THAT word on your 12-year-old tormenter. Simply tell him/her: "Go skew yourself." That'll put him/her in his/her place. Glad I could help.

Ha! Not laughing at you sister, but at the fact that kids are so ill-mannered and ill-prepared for the real world, that swearing at you just goes to prove it....

Which is why I think kids should be very least 16...

Kids really aren't prepared emotionally and mentally for reality, and the experience people on here bring. They have their own preconcieved notions that have nothing to do with the real world. Some of them are actually quiet stubborn about certain beliefs, which are mostly, wrong and ill concieved. No learning experience to be had... Too immature for that...

I think it's 13, but that is really too young. It should be about 16-18 with all the predators sneaking around online. And where are the parents of these children??? These are the consequences of using the internet as a baby-sitter.

it should be 18 just because of the salty language sometimes offerred by the S.H. users if for no other reason. Rated 'R' for Content LOL

I thought the age limit was 14, but you really don't know peoples' true age when they sign-up here. 'Course if you were sworn at for your opinion, that person's age doesn't matter: there's no reason to get crude and nasty just because they didn't like what you said.

IF I remember correctly .. SH does state in TOS That 13 yrs old is considered a minimum (and that is with parental knowledge/approval too) ...

OH, my .. swearing? (sigh .. I shouldn't be shocked .. I did raise my own children and heard the language choices of their friends ..)

So sorry when folks have to experience nastiness on this site.

when i was 12 years of age , radio hadnt been invented yet much less sodahead ....oh , thats not what your asking ! as long as they didnt spell the curse words wrong , then i guess they are old enough . i can usally tell by the question or their avatar how old they be . i have enough"debating" the lefties on this site ....much less trying to make a point with a tween that was educated by liberals .

I guess they have no cut off limit here so if you can spell (Half way at least) you're in! I sometimes check out the SH's personal page first and see if an age is listed before answering. I know that is a lot of extra stuff to have to go thru just to try giving advice. . . even then some 16 year olds can act 12. If they posted that they were running away it sounds like they wanted advice so they should make up their minds before posting their little drama sessions and save it for FB or something. I find there are many many questions I am just passing on.

I don't think there IS an age limit, and even if there is, all they have to do is change the year of their birth. It sounds like the runaway question was a way to get someone's attention, though. It's how a lot of little kids act. And some adults, to.

I really cant say I mean some kids are very mature very young, some kids are too mature for their age though, and then there are some kids that are not mature enough too be on sites like this and Then there is also some of the questions aren't always suitable for kids I just don't know but in my opinion probably not younger then 14

It's supposed to be 13, but neither SH nor parents enforce it.

I don't think there really is one. How could SH enforce it? I believe the kids would just lie and say whatever age was needed. I don't understand why they want to be here so much anyway????

True, but there are a lot of juvenile remarks from alleged adults too! I don't get why a very young 10-14 year old wants to interact with adults.

An age limit would be useless because no proof of age is required for this site. If SodaHead has an age limit then it can only be a guide.

    101. There is never a age or time to run away. If you start running away, instead of facing a situation, you'll start a habit of running away and you'll end up running away from life.

I was thinking of an organization or city agency. If every upset teen called 911 then how can the firemen get their calls? In Chicago we have 311 for non-emergencies to keep 911 ready to work.
