a true veggie is one that you are. you cant pin point what a true veggie does. they could eat chicken and fish to get the protein instead of takin pills. or they could take pills and jiust eat fruits and veggies. there are many diff ways to be a veggie.

Nonsense, protein is the biggest myth, vegans & veggies don't need any protein supplements ever. Excess protein CAUSES disease. there are ZERO cases of protein deficincy in all recorded US hospital admissions. the ONLY people with a protein deficiency are people that are actually starving to death. Same with the calcium myth. Sublingual B-12 is the only thing we need and we can do without that if we are really strict about obtaining it from plants.

Your mom is wrong, you don't need any meat in you. The human digestive system isn't made for eating meat. Meat is good for hospitals and doctors, it helps make them a lot of money. Its also good for keeping the population down. People in China don't eat meat, that's why there's so many of them.

A vegetarian eats no meats, no poultry, and no fish. If you eat any of those, you're not a vegetarian. You may have a largely vegetarian diet (I don't eat any meats except fish), but that doesn't make you a vegetarian.

Honey isn't debatable for a true vegan. There are many "vegetarians" from those who wear leather but don't eat meat to those that are called for example the lacto ovo vegetarian but they are not true vegans.

Tell that to the vegan restaurant my cousin used to work at then. And did you ever think there might be a need for leather? My sister is a horseback rider and a vegan. Quite honestly, she cares more about her horse than herself, and leather equipment is vital to Ivy's (her horse) safety. Sure, she could spend all her saving on expensive alternitives, but she can't afford to. And she'd rather stick with leather than buy a cheap alternitive because it's safer for her horse. I don't know about you, but I'd say she's a truer vegan than most.

That's vegan, not vegetarian. A vegetarian just doesn't eat meat, fish or poultry (basically, any animal flesh), but will eat animal by-products.

A Vegan is the only true vegetarian........The definition of Veganism is a philosophy and lifestyle that seeks to exclude the use of animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose. Vegans do not use or consume animal products of any kind The most common reasons for becoming a vegan are ethical commitment or moral convictions concerning animal rights, the environment, human health, and spiritual or religious concerns. Of particular concern are the practices involved in factory farming and animal testing, and the intensive use of land and other resources required for animal farming. Recently they have also been referred to as "Wackos"

Vegan is NOT a philosophy. It is a way of eating.

There are AR (animal rights vegans AKA ethical vegans)

There are vegans who do it for environmental reasons

There are vegans that could care less about the animals or the envioronment that eat this way strictly for health reasons.

They are ALL vegans. I run the master list of all the vegan group oragnizers and am quite familiar with all this. Any interested persons are welcome to contact me.

Didn't we just go over this?

Vegetarians: Do NOT eat: red meat, pork, poultry, fish or any lard, whey, gelatin, etc. Most Vegetarians will eat dairy and eggs (some don't eat eggs but do dairy, some don't do dairy but eat eggs). No animal should die.

Vegans: Do NOT eat: any meat (see above), dairy, eggs, honey, etc. Nothing that comes from an animal.

Pescetarians: Do NOT eat: red meat, pork, poultry, or any lard from these animals. They are vegetarians who eat fish.
