people always say this for every generation, but in reality, its simply that things vary from one generation to the next--things change, society changes, and the kids are a product of those changes.

Any guesses who these two quotes are by?:

"The children now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for
authority, they show disrespect to their elders.... They no longer
rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents,
chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their
legs, and are tyrants over their teachers."

"The young people of today think of nothing but themselves. They have
no reverence for parents or old age. They are impatient of all
restraint. They talk as if they alone knew everything and what passes
for wisdom with us is foolishness with them. As for girls, they are
forward, immodest and unwomanly in speech, behaviour and dress."

Socrates is the guy accredited with them. From Ancient Greece 2500 years ago.

    Conclusion:
Kids don't change. Kids will always be kids and from generation to generation they act in the same impulsive disrespectful cocky manner. Its the parents who've changed and often forgot or don't even realise that they were exactly the same at that age. So what's happened to the kdis of today? The same thing that's happened to the kids of yesterday, and the kids before them, and the kids before them....

To what are you referring? The advent of teen pregnancy, the rampant spread of illiteracy, or the general refusal to engage in a non-digitized reality?
